A human being is a part of the whole called by us “the universe,” a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separate from the rest—a kind of optical delusion of consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and affection of a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of understanding and compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.

Eventful Trip
This time around Amy and I actually had an eventful trip from Houston. Everything goes smoothly except for this one RV that is stuck in a ditch and a bunch of crazy drivers (most of them Tech students) until we hit 84. There Amy's left front tire blows out. Luckily this nice guy stopped and changed the tire for us. He was pretty dang fast too. Anyways, since the maximum speed limit on the donut is somewhere around 60-70ish or so Amy plays it safe and we drive back to Lubbock (the whole 118 miles) going 60. Naturally we get passed by everyone including the 18-wheelers we already passed on I-20. This entire ordeal only makes our total travel time 10 hours instead of 9.5, so it wasn't that dramatic. It still wasn't fun though at least I got a tan on my left arm. The only tan I got all of spring break. Ok, I really have to study for a quiz tomorrow.
