First Epic Climbing Trip
I went to Hueco this Sunday to go climbing. It was fun as always. Hueco Tanks just rocks. I didn't sent anything major but a couple of V0s and V1s. Local Flakes and Nobody gets out of here alive are awesome problems ( and very very frustrating b/c I can't do them......yet). But this is not the epic part. We left Hueco at about 7ish Lubbock time. After about an hour drive, the Surburban decided it didn't need it's serpentine belt anymore and broke it. We came to a stop right about midway between El Paso and Carlsbad which is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Since I forgot to bring my pantyhose on this trip we didn't have anything to replace the belt with so the Volkswagen ended up driving all the way back to El Paso to get the parts. We finally got back on the road at about 11ish, I think and got to Lubbock at about 3:20. I slept most of the time back therefore it didn't really bother me. Things I learned though: Tortillas with crunchy peanut butter and honey are good and you can waste a lot of time throwing rocks at empty glass bottles on fence posts.
